Who says there are no more fixers in the LTO here?

No more fixers? LTO Region 7 claims that it has successfully eradicated fixers. A car owner says that may be true as the fixers are not allowed to get inside the LTO premises. But he asks: “Who are those Waray-speaking people who have chairs inside the premises?” This car owner, a journalist and editor of a leading paper here, was approached by one of these Waray-speaking persons who offered to help him hasten his transaction. He called himself “special fixer.”

Drug store. The item here last Tuesday about a drug store which does not give exact change to the customer, elicited many reactions all of them confirming what was reported in The Ear. “Ipabilin nila ang puwaki nga .15, .25, etc. Mauwaw man ta moreklamo kay gamay ra nga kantidad. Pero linibo na kana kun ilang maipon.” Another reader said: “If we lack, say, .25 in our payment would they say OK lang?”
