Photojournalist Loy Jurado who is covering Congressman Alcover’s “Thank You Tour” says he had just found out the ANAD partylist congressman owns hectares and hectares of pineapple plantation in Bukidnon. “Daghang Cebuanos ang wa masayod niini,” says Loy. “And many Cebuanos also don’t know perhaps that the security guards of the Del Monte Pineapple Plantation are all from Alcover’s Kadre Security Agency,” Loy added.

You know, everytime Gus Go gets a splash in the media, I recall the moments when he stood up against a domineering PC general who tried to padlock City Hall at the height of a coup against President Cory Aquino. No one but no one dared to face off with the overbearing PC officer who arrogantly barged into CH, believing the Cory government had fallen, and ordered the seat of the City Government closed. No one but no one dared. Only Gus Go.
