Who says love and politics don't mix?

- The Ear -

LICENSE TO HIT. A part-time student who tutors a Korean elementary student here was surprised when the child’s mother took her aside one day and asked her how her son was doing. When she admitted the child lost focus on his lessons most of the time the mother told her she could hit her son if the situation called for it. “Hit him if you have to. Hit him hard,” the disciplinarian Korean mother reportedly said. The tutor nodded her head but was really trying to conceal her surprise. She later told an Ear source that made her more determined than ever to teach the child without having to hit him.

LOVE AND POLITICS. Tongues are wagging about the brilliant moves of this young politician. During the last national election he had the idea of courting a TV celebrity host so the public would gobble up their love story and win him popularity. And it seemed to work as he came in as the no.1 senator when it came to votes. Years later he decided to marry his sweetheart, and just in time for the next national elections. Another move, perhaps, to keep himself in the limelight and in people’s thoughts?   Some political analysts are saying if his plans are more than just coincidence, they are damn brilliant.
