MORE COINS. A reader has this suggestion to end the quarrel of drivers and commuters over the 50 centavos. He said that the Bangko Sentral should flood the market with 25-centavo coins. This way, the drivers would have no excuse on not giving 50 centavos change and the commuters can easily find 25 centavos to give the drivers the exact P6.50 minimum fare. He said, “Kay gilisud-lisud man gyud ta sa LTFRB aning ilang kalaki nga kida sa plite, ang BSP dapat magpabaha og sinsilyo para dili ta maglisud pangita aning 25 sentimos.”
EASY SOLUTION. Another reader said that to end this fight over the minimum fare, the LTFRB should, once and for all, set the minimum fare at a flat rate of P6. He said, “Sala man gyud ni sa LTFRB ba. Kabalo gyud na sila nga ang mga drayber dili gyud mosukli og 50 sentimos. Para walay lalis, ibalik na lang gyud sa P6 ang plite.”
