Reader suggests drug test for guys getting married

TIT FOR TAT. The suitor of a barangay beauty queen who has been asked by the girl’s father to present documents like police and NBI clearances and a drug test certification has made a return request. He asked the girl to pass on to her father a request for a good conduct certification signed by the parish priest. The suitor has decided to call it quits. “Binuang man nang iya. Gilisud-lisud ra ko aron mo-atras. Well, atras ko,” the suitor said.

GOOD IDEA. An observer said asking suitors to present good conduct papers is a good idea. “That will save the girl from involvement with a suitor who might end up giving her social problems,” the observer said. “Mas maayo man gani nga ipa-drug test ang suitor before marriage,” he added.
