The country's 'first pueblo' should be played up - reader

- The Ear -

GRATEFUL READER. A city matron who called up The Ear sometime last December 2008 to complain against the noisy motorcycle riders in her neighborhood the other day expressed her gratitude to this column for publishing her complaint. “Sukad sa pag-publish ninyo sa akong reklamo wa na magsaba-saba ang mga batan-ong motorcycle riders,” she said. “Di na nila parebolusyonon ang ilang mga motor sa tungang gabii.” Aside from thanking The Ear, the matron also thanked her neighbors for positively responding to her gripe.

THE FIRST “PUEBLO”. A resident of San Nicolas wants the City Hall’s historical commission to play up the country’s “first pueblo” which is now the San Nicolas district. He said history books say San Nicolas is the country’s “first pueblo” or town set up or founded by the Spaniards. “Tagaan ta nig importansiya kay ato kining kadungganan,” he said.
