Readers: Minimum fare should be P6
TOO SMALL. Many readers have expressed their approval in the latest move of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in implementing another 50 centavos rollback in jeepney’s minimum fare but they said it’s “too small”.
INSULT. A reader who identified herself as a fruit vendor said the LTFRB is just playing with the public with their rollback and saw the 50 centavos rollback as an insult. She said, “Tigi-tigi ra ang minus. Gibugal-bugalan ra ta aning LTFRB. Kay klaro na man nga nasuko ang mga tawo sa ilang pagmika, magpa-rollback sila, pero 50 sentimos ra. P6 dapat.”
BACK TO P6. Another reader said, “Ok ra na sila? Gamay kaayo unya maabtan pa gyud og tunga sa buwan una ipatuman. Pero pag increase sa plite, P1.50 gyud ilang gipangayo unya ora-orada pa gyud. Unfair gyud ning LTFRB. Dapat ibalik sa P6 ang plite.”
