Pinay teacher in US says follow the American way to get kids off the streets

KIDS CAROL. Weeks before the Christmas holidays, more children are seen clinging to jeepneys, to sing Christmas carols. An Ear informer has observed that it seems no action has been done by the police, barangay tanods or Citom enforcers to get these kids off the streets and away from danger. He said, “Morag wala man sila’y nabuhat. Nagkadaghan man hinuon, ilabi na diha sa Sikatuna St.”

AMERICAN WAY. A Filipina teacher who works in a public school in the US says that the police should follow the American system wherein the parents are called by the school principal whenever their children are absent from school for two consecutive days without a valid reason. She said, “Sa Amerika, tawgon ang parents ug kasab-an basta mo-absent ang ilang anak. Ingon ana dapat sundon sa atong kapolisan. Ang parents kasab-an basta madakpan ang ilang anak manglimos sa kadalanan.”
