Before they were executed by firing squad, the three Bali bombers shouted “Allah hu Akhbar!” (God is Great!). God is great indeed. In this case, He showed this greatness by His act of getting rid of the mad bombers.

The Bali bombers called their victims (202 dead, scores injured) “infidels.” That’s adding insult to injury. Or rubbing salt on the wounds of the victims and their bereaved kin.

Obit. Pete Abangan, a wellknown local political commentator, died recently and was buried last Monday. Pete is the elder brother of Vic Abangan, also known as a political broadcastman. Pete and Vic took the cudgels for Serging Osmeña when the political kingpin parted ways with Talyux Bacalso. Pete was a grand knight of the Naga Knights of Columbus and an active member of Sukna, a grouping of Sugbuanon radio commentators.
