This refers to the second published complaint of LTC Philip Lapinid last Sunday. While it is not our policy to engage in tit-for-tat exchange on concerns that are best resolved through more formal channels, we only answered the complaint after LTC Lapinid failed to write, fax, email us or at least visit our offices or give us a call.
Finally however, LTC Lapinid contacted me by mobile phone and since he could not leave his post at his headquarters in Bataan, we agreed to meet in Manila next week. We will discuss what measures can be adopted to avoid misunderstanding and to follow a course where all complaints regarding check-in procedures for firearms and ammunition can be addressed at once and to the point.
