The fisherfolk in Cebu join the rest of the Filipino People in mourning the untimely death of former KMU chairperson and the current representative of ANAKPAWIS partylist.
His death is an unmeasurable loss to the nation as a whole struggling against policies that aggravated poverty and environmental destruction.
Anakpawis thru Ka Bel is instrumental in the passing of a resolution to investigate destructive operation of foreign off-shore mining corporations. Ka Bel was also instrumental in strengthening the anti-coal fired power plant and global warming struggle in Cebu by deploying organizers and passing resolutions in Congress.
