The gay man obviously goes for kinky sex, otherwise he would not have allowed a complete stranger to shove the can into his backdoor, where it got stuck and could not be extricated except by surgical removal.
But that is not the point. While moralists may correctly wag a finger in the air to explain how the wrath of God works in mysterious ways, there are simply too many dark secrets in this damaged planet of ours to dwell on this one, bizzare and ludicruous though it may be.
Kinky people do kinky things. Levels of interest may vary depending on the sordid details, but we all sort of expect them anyhow. What is of greater moral concern is when “unkinky “ people, especially those with professional degrees, act no differently from animals.
The gay florist has every right to sue those doctors and nurses on the surgical team who, during the procedure, videotaped the entire proceedings, screaming and laughing as if they were in a party instead of being asked to perform an act required of their noble callings.
Worse, not only did the surgical team videotape the operation, the entire procedure was posted on YouTube and promptly circulated worldwide on the Internet. And while the gay man was spared further ignominy by direct identification, the act was cruel and inhuman.
What kind of animals have infiltrated the medical and nursing professions that we now have supposedly licensed professionals who could not contain their personal feelings and allow these to spill all over their work in the most unethical, unprofessional, and inhuman way.
The gay man is poor. He has no resources to obtain justice. And the medical and allied professions, being close-knit societies, are bound to close ranks to protect their own. But he should sue anyway, if only to tell the world what ogres we have in our midst.
