No help from bystanders for woman driver in need

- The Ear -

Bystanders Just Watched. The engine of the car driven by a woman in her 40s conked out somewhere in Banawa. She did not know what to do. She said she tried to call home but her mobile phone ran out of load. “Tua man say mga lalaking nag-estambay pero wa man ko tabangi,” the woman told The Ear, adding: “Nadunggan ko pa ang usa nila nag-ingon nga pasagdan ra ko kay tiguwang na.”

How Much?. Another woman motorist, a friend of the aforementioned driver, had an almost similar experience. Her car ran out of gas in Katipunan St. She approached some young men standing by to help her push the car to a nearby gas station. “Wa pa gani ko kahangyo nila nikorus na sila ‘Pila man’. Sa ato pa pila man ang ibayad ko nila kun ilang itu’d ang sakyanan ko,” the woman motorist said shaking her head.
