Marian devotees persevere in procession amid wind, rain

- The Ear -

WET PROCESSION. An Ear informer observed Tuesday that despite strong wind and rain, people still flocked to the Asilo de la Milagrosa chapel to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. After the mass, people were seen soaked to the bone and braving the bad weather for the religious procession.

A student who got wet during the procession was heard telling her also wet friends: “Ok ra man ta mabasa ron kay dili man ta masakit. Protektahan man ta ni Mama Mary.”

STRENGTH OF FAITH. A European tourist who saw the procession and the wet devotees said he was touched by what he saw.

He said, “It was a moving scene. I was touched by the strength of faith of these Filipino Catholics. I will surely tell friends back home about this.”
