Many children are still made to work in firecracker factories

ICE CREAM EATING KIDS. An angry nurse called up The Ear to report an incident that had her seething with hate. The nurse suggested that taxi drivers should disallow the eating of ice cream by little children riding with the parents.

DANGEROUS JOB. An Ear reader said he was in one of the barangays of Lapu-Lapu City a few days ago where he saw children probably 10 to 15 years old working in a firecracker factory. There were about four of them. The reader said it behooves the city authorities to step up the campaign against minors being hired in pyrotechnic factories. Nagpadung na ra ba sa kapaskohan dako ang demand sa pabuto daghang mga bata ang patrabahuon,” the reader said.
