SCARING THE BIRDS? Several readers reacted to The Freeman’s front-page news about the arrest of Japanese tourists shooting a sex film at the Olango bird sanctuary. One reader, a retired teacher, told The Ear: “Wala sab sila ma-ulaw sa mga birds sa Olango, no? Basin nakurat ang mga migratory birds didto, dili na sila mobalik sa Olango. Hehe.”
OR FOR THE BIRDS’ AMUSEMENT? The retired teacher’s friend had a contrary view. He said, “Dili hinuon. Basin nalingaw ang mga langgam sa Olango pagkakita sa nag-sex nga mga Hapon. Dili na hinuon sila mo-migrate sa laing dapit. Magpabilin na lang sila sa Olango, kay mas alegre.”
