Lip service is never a welcome act

A politician, says a news item here, is in trouble for kissing a young and pretty constituent of his. See? Lip service is never a welcome act.

There's a bunch of people who demand: "Palayain si Erap!" Free Erap! Why can't they wait until after Erap is convicted and then cry "Palayain"?

My friend Ondo says: "Let's not act as if we could twist the law in the matter pertaining to Erap's acquittal or conviction." In other words, let the law take its proper curse.

One columnist says: "I pray that someday we will be having good politicians replacing the bad ones." You know, brod, bad politicians are here to stay. They are not like old soldiers. They don't fade away.

Four trial court judges have been suspended. They're involved, say the papers, in a "marriage scam." Well, that's okay. As long as they're not suspended from a tree branch.

Some lawyers have assailed the suspension of the judges. Were they (judges) not given their day in court?

Rebels in Muslim Mindanao have ignored the truce call of the government. They don't believe that the truce will set them free.

Business news: The sales of wigs/toupees went up 200 percent in 2006. What does this prove? That the number of bald or balding people in RP has gone up -- benefitting tne wig industry. You see, to hair is human.
