Letter to the Editor  Bobit Avila''s attack on the Quisumbings
April 28, 2007 | 12:00am
Mr. Jonas Cortes has fully answered Bobit Avila on his distorted allegations in his Freeman column re his connections between him and NQJr re the contested land in Mandaue. Jonas certainly put things to right; Bobit Avila has to swallow his own words.
Having failed, Avila then shifted his attack on the Quisumbings, again on utterly false claims that:
1. The Quisumbings will "donate" the land to the City of Mandaue? Wrong. Fabricated. What the Quisumbings want to do is to convert the land into a Gawad Kalinga Village with the permission of a kinder and more supportive City of Mandaue.
2. "Too many promises to Mandaue City"? Pray tell what are these promises? If any of these allegations of unfulfilled promises are not true, to which Avila has to certify, then he has to cleanse his mouth.
3. ''Norkis Village'' in Compostela? Site of the Daewee plant? Four-wheel operations? What right does Avila have in telling Norkis what it has to do with its own properties or its exclusive corporate decisions? None of his business in the first place, and secondly, it does not speak well of his facts or informants. I challenge him to certify to the truth, and not to falsify or fabricate things as he wishes.
4. Why does Bobit claim to be a part of Norkis ("we" were looking for a site) when he was never one at anytime, anywhere.
