CASH OR CARD? A mediaman complained to The Ear about this hospital's hesitancy to use the medical card. His young daughter had difficulty breathing and was rushed to the hospital but when the mediaman presented his medical card to the attending doctors at the ER, the doctor reportedly said, "Ah, card diay? Taym pa sa ha. Ato usang pangitaon ang doctor nga connected ani." Upset, the mediaman said, "Doc, I don't care which doctor will check my daughter as long as you do it immediately. I don't need to use the card. Bayaran nakog cash." When the doctor heard this, the daughter was given immediate attention.
WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT. Another mediaman who heard this commented, "Grabe sad ning mga hospital karon no? Panguwarta ra gyud ang importante. Kay abi card man unta, pasikot-sikot pa, bisan naglisod nag ginhawa ang bata. Pero pagkadungog nilag cash, morag nitingkag ilang dunggan."
