MUTE CAUSE. The Ear heard that one of the coffeeshop talks circulating in the city is the case of the priest alleged to have molested female students at Abellana school. Many were not surprised with the silence and the refusal of the Archdiocese of Cebu to help in the investigation. But what surprised many people is the surprising silence of the usually vocal stance of cause-oriented groups. One businessman was heard saying, "Saba man unta kaayo ning GABRIELA sa pagpanalipod sa katungod sa kababayehan, pero ngano hilom man sila aning higayona?"
NO FUNDING? Another businessman at the same table answered his friend, with this tongue-in-cheek comment, "Bitaw 'Bay. Mahibong gyud ta. Basin walay funding para aning kaso? O di ba kaha, hadlok sila mobangga sa Catholic Church?"
