Letter to the Editor Coop viewpoint on CICC
November 23, 2006 | 12:00am
Different viewpoints can be heard from radios or read from newspapers about the Status of CICC. Will it be finished on time to accommodate the 12th ASEAN Summit by December 11th to the 14th?
We, of the Cebu Kawayanan Multipurpose Cooperative, firmly believe that CICC will be finished on time to serve the 12th ASEAN Summit delegates. We were tasked to handle the installation of granites, ceramic tiles and bricks for which we were able to accomplish on time. Our belief is anchored on the eagerness and optimism shared by the different groups assigned to different tasks. They were not disturbed by the noise, dust and heat of the sun and other disturbing elements including negative criticisms. They held on and concentrated on their jobs.
These are the factors that substantiate our belief. We also take this opportunity to thank the team players to include the lowly laborers, leadmen, contrators, engineers, government officials, businessmen, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the suppliers, the drivers, and others who in one way or the other have contributed to the making of CICC as an architectural masterpiece of the Cebuanos. We can all be proud of it not only to the 12th ASEAN Summit delegates but to the whole world.
This will only be the beginning of the major activities taking place at CICC that will usher and strengthen our relationships with other nations to bring in business opportunities and progress for our country and most particularly to the Visayas region.
