BIG ACHIEVEMENT TOO. A Japanese resident here has expressed disappointment that one big Cebu achievement has been overlooked because of the noisy brouhaha over the controversial Cebu International Convention Center. He was referring to the launching of the giant ship-a-car carrier at the Balamban shipyard a few days ago. He said the launching event is a global achievement but did not receive much publicity here. His Cebuano companion said: "Nadismayar si Sir kay involved man ang Japanese shipbuilders sa proyekto."
OPERATOR SAYS NO. A taxi operator frowns on the move to make taxi operators using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to reduce their fare. He said: "Naninguha man gani tang mogamit og LPG aron madaku-dako sab ang ganasiya ta unya pakubsan ang pletihan. Kun mao na balik nalang ko sa gasolina nga maoy mas akseptado sa publiko."
