STEALING FROM THE DEAD. Even the dead are robbed. The Ear heard many reports yesterday that candles and flowers offered for the dearly departed are stolen only minutes after being placed on the tomb markers. An Ear informer said, "Grabe ang kawat sa kandila ug buwak. Huwaton lang nga makatalikod ang bisita sa patay, kawaton dayon."
DEAD NOT SPARED. The Ear informer said that even if the candles are stuck to the cement or placed inside metal barriers, the robbers still manage to grab them. "Bisan ga siga pa ang kandila, pawngon unya kuhaon. Kung nakapilit sa yuta, ilang kiskison. Puwerte ka salbahis ning mga kawatana. Dili mahadlok og gaba sa patay."
