ARMED VENDORS. Two balut vendors aboard a PUJ last Sunday morning were overheard talking about their evening job. One of them said: "Dad-on gyud nako pirme ang paltik ko uy daghan ra bang mga buang estambay magabii." The other vendor said: "Sshh, ayg saba uy. Basin dunay secret marshal tang kasakay." The first vendor corrected himself: "Aw, di bitaw nako dad-on akong paltik uy. Ibilin ra nako sa bay kay wa'y lisensiya." The other vendor berated his companion saying: "Gago ka gyud. Pataka ra kag sulti."
DILAPIDATED TAXIS. There are still some dilapidated taxicabs operating in the city. A mediaman has suggested that these rundown cabs must be grounded for the duration of the Asean Summit Week. "We never can tell if there are visitors from Asean countries touring the city on their own and using taxis for transport," the mediaman said. "Mauwaw ta kon makasakay ining mga gubaong taxi, ang uban alambre ray gigamit isip lock sa pultahan."
