DIFFERENT LOVES. In one of the fastfood eateries at the SM City mall, a Filipino and an American shared a table. The Pinoy wore a t-shirt worded: "I Love U.S.A." while the American's t-shirt said: "Proud to be Pinoy." The two, who didn't know each other, didn't notice their conflicting preferences but many people in the eatery did. "Lain-laig sabaw kining duha da," someone was heard saying.
SMOKING MATRON. A fiftyish city matron was smoking on board a PUJ. Reminded by an old man about the city ordinance prohibiting smoking in passenger conveyances, the woman simply shrugged off the reminder saying: "Wa bitaw polis!" Irked, the old man said: "Mga tawong ingon nimo ang nakapaunlod sa nasud." The matron didn't mind.
