I was expecting, quite strongly, that the US NBA Stars would wrap up the World Basketball Championship in Japan. But the Stars lost their shine to the Greeks.

"This defeat of the US to Greece is simply Greek to me," I said to Manny V.

"It was an upset win by the Greeks," Manny said.

"It was an upset indeed. Many Americans got upset stomach after the debacle," I said.

I have always been rooting for the US cage team everytime it plays against any country.

"Even if it plays against the Philippines in a major tournament?" my friend John J. said.

"That's another story," I said. "Labi na kon ang Alaska Aces ang ilang makontra. He-He!"

A member of the US five said they went to Japan with the World Basketball title in mind.

A Greek player said people thought they (the Greek team) were dreaming when they thought they could beat the US.

"Mao lagi na ang kanunay tang madunggan dinhi sa ato: 'Lingin ang bola, Bay!'," said John J.

The Comelec has given its thumbs down to the 6.3 million signatures favoring the Charter change. It was a shout-out, 6-0. But speaker Joe de Venecia isn't throwing in the towel. Not yet.

"Moadto siya's Supreme Court to try to reverse the Comelec decision," I said.

"Ambot nganong gusto gyud na niya ang Cha-cha."

"Gusto man kuno gyud na siya ma prime minister," I said.

"Unya segurado siyang makuha niya kanang puwestoha nga interesado man sab ana si Ate Glo."
