KARAOKE BUFF. A key official of a national government office here is a karaoke buff. Every night, according to an Ear informer, he is found in a sing-along joint spending his time singing. "Usahay makigpustaanay sa mga nanan-away labot sa score nga iyang makuha," the informer said. His wife leaves him alone, saying: "It's his happiness, he's entitled to it. Mas maayo na kaysa manguyab og GRO."
SORRY NO CHANGE. A well-dressed matron attending Mass at the Cathedral wanted to give something when the collection bag was offered to her. She looked for some loose change in her shoulder bag. Finding none, she told the "collector" to just proceed. "Wa koy sinsiyo, pulos tibuok, next time nalang," she was heard saying. And the collector was also heard replying in a whisper: "Dawat man tibuok ang Ginoo."
