HAIRCUT REQUIREMENT. A department store in the city requires applicants for employment to have short hair cut for men and shoulder-length hair for women. "Kadtong mga dunay tag-as nga buhok dili dawaton sa interview," an Ear informer said. "Daghan ang dili nalang pa-interview kay way klarong madawat. Masumpay pa ang naputol nga buhok kon ma-reject ang aplikante human sa interview?" Many job seekers have called this requirement "crazy" and "unfair."
DIRTY SKYWALK. A woman on her way to work slid and fell on human waste on a skywalk on Osmeña Blvd. She has to go back home to change her dress and take a bath. When she proceeded to work, she was late by about an hour. Her boss and officemates would not believe what happened to her on her way to work. "Nangatawa lang. Di motuo sa akong estorya."
