Yes, people come, people go. And such is the case of our good nurses, doctors, teachers, drug reps, househelpers, etc. who were born in the Philippines and are now leaving the country one by one for different reasons: for the sake of the kids, as a fall back just in case, for greener pasture, etc.
Hey, where's everybody goin'? How I really wish people would just come and not go. But that's dreaming the impossible dream as we all have different lifestyles and needs. Oh well, I really can't blame you guys for leaving the Philippines.
I know it's never easy on your part too to leave the land of your birth, the place where you first saw light, where you grew up and been educated, where you got married and raised a family, and the 1001 memories of the way you celebrated Christmas year after year after year, as well as the New Year, Valentines, Holy Week, summer, fiesta, vacation, the joy, the fun, and the seasons in the sun.
I know deep in you, it hurts to say goodbye to the Philippines, to your countrymen, to the Pinoy lifestyle, to the Filipino way of life. But now that all your bags are packed and you're ready to go, let me just wish you good luck and Godspeed. And a postscript that says: Please be back soon. Babalik ka rin, di ba?
