The day that made many poetic and romantic

Willie Revillame is the idol of many. After the stampede some say he will become a movie idle.
There's a movie actress who is a millionaire but is said to be unhappy. Call her poor wretch girl.
Yesterday, Valentine's Day, lovers spent the night billing and cooing like love birds and exchanging tweet nothings.
Got a lady friend who jogs every morning to get slim. Her motto is: Here today, gaunt tomorrow.
Got a gentleman friend whose weakness is going to parties. His motto: The proof of the pudding is in the repeating.
A drinking contest was held in a bar last Valentine's Day. Some called it the Gulp war!
After Manny Pacquiao's victory over Erik Morales, there was euphoria across the nation. He was hailed as a hero. Some even called him national hero. Never was such kind of euphoria erupted when it was reported that the remittance of the OFWs rose to unprecedented level, thus shoring up the country's dollar reserves contributing to the rise of the peso rate against the dollar.
The above statement is part of a letter I received from Ramonito Antiporda of Maasin City, So. Leyte. Mr. Antiporda made it clear: "It's not that I was not happy about Manny's impressive triumph... It's only that I feel sorry for the OFWs whose contribution to the country's economy has been overlooked."
I see Mr. Antiporda's point and I agree with him. The OFWs are as deserving of being called heroes as Pacman. You remove that OFWs from where they are you'll see the peso and the economy go crashing.
Valentine's Day yesterday made many a soul poetic and romantic. The text messages I received showd this. Sample picked at random: "Happy Valentines to you and may the spirit of Valentines bring you love and peace through all the years." This from our very reliable ad dept. guy Andy P.
