Why the senators are angry

The CBCP says: "Fewer young people are attending Mass these days." Right. Some of them are attending another kind of mass at Mendiola.
In my church, most people clasp their hands when hearing Mass. Especially when the "sibut" is being passed around!
The year 2005 is the second warmest (hottest) in memory, according to savants. Now you wonder why the senators are always angry?
I asked a kid if he liked Santa Claus. "Yes, I do," said. "It's not everyday I meet people who give." Ugh!
Did you know that the slot machines at the local casino talk? They do but not much. After you've emptied your pockets, they simply say: "Bye, now!"
"More Duty Free Stores Are Set to Open"; headline. These are not owned by the government. "Duty Free" doesn't mean the employees are Free from Duty.
The Star publisher Max V. Soliven last Sunday carried in his column the 12 commandments from one Alex Lacson from Negros Occidental who confessed he was "a poor Lacson" from Negros. Alex shared with Sir Max the l2 commandments and I would like to share it with you too. Here:
l. Follow traffic rules. Follow the law.
2. Whenever you buy or pay for anything, always ask for an official receipt.
3. Don't buy smuggled goods. Buy local. Buy Filipino. (Or, if you read his book, he suggests: 50-50).
4. When you talk to others, especially foreigners, speak positively about us and other countries.
5. Respect our traffic officer, policeman and soldier.
6. Do not litter. Dispose your garbage properly. Segregate. Recycle. Conserve.
7. Support your church
8. During elections, do your solemn duty.
9. Pay your employees well.
10. Pay your taxes.
11. Adopt a scholar or a poor child.
12. Be a good parent. Teach your kids to follow the law and love our country.
