They say that Pinoy athletes are now aging. Going for gold seems no longer for them to hope for. Well, try going for Centrum Silver!
I was about to throw in the towel because of my illness that has deprived me of the power on my knees. Distressing indeed. For I agree with Erap who once said: "For a real man, losing the strength of the knees is like losing his balls."
The outlook changed for the better after some 15 pretty young girls from The FREEMAN's business department came a visiting last Friday p.m. They were led by Ms. Tina P., whom TF sports writer Raffy Uytiepo calls the "most beautiful newspaper marketing manager" he'd ever met...Ahhh, I said, there's still so much to live for in the world! Gimme the medicines!
Thank you for the flowers, girls. Thanks for sending them to me while I still could touch them and smell them. "And", to quote Mark Twain, "beat the bees to the nectar."
The Thai premier raised the issue of bias against the Thailand team in the SEAGames -virtually accusing the Philippines of cheating. Let it be known that we may cheat in elections (ask Ping, ask Francis, ask Nene, ask any member of the opposition) but never in Sports.
Congratulations to former Ambassador Francis "Frank" Benedicto on his appointment as undersecretary of foreign affairs. I've known Frank for a long time and I've known him to be a person who truly deserves the trust and confidence of the government he's been serving so well for so long.
Frank was born in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. He's Ilonggo by birth but Cebuano by choice. Which is why he thinks and speaks Cebuano better than he does in his native Ilonggo. And those who know Frank know he has done more for Cebu and the Cebuanos than many of those who pretend to be great native Cebuanos.
Personal: Thanks to Sir Dodong and Ma'am Nena for rushing to my aid in my moment of greatest need -the need to keep body and soul intact. I'd rather keep the details personal.
The Cebu City Liquor Licensing Commission (CCLLC) has issued a warning to the public against people soliciting Christmas gifts in the name of the CCLLC during the holiday season. The warning was issued by Alwin Limosnero, OIC of the agency. Every year the CCLLC is flooded with complaints about people who ask for gifts -like wines and other alcoholic drinks.
"We are not into such solicitations," Limosnero said, assuring the public that drastic action would be taken against those who use the name of the CCLLC in their gift-asking this Christmas season.
