Letter to the Editor - Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao

Congratulations, Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao, for putting the Philippines on top of the world in the playing field of boxing. You really deserve to be the king of the ring. You are a great athlete idolized by young and old Filipinos. Your humbleness makes you one step forward to becoming a hero. Without your knowing it, you set a good example to the young generation of the Filipinos. The Filipino people are proud of you.

Perhaps very few Filipinos knew that the father of Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao is a full-blooded Cebuano. He was born in the mountain barangay of Guimbawian, Pinamungajan, Cebu. No less than Manny himself told the people one day in Cebu that he is a Cebuano, that his father is from Pinamungajan, Cebu.

Come January, 2006 if plans will materialize, Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao will have a rematch with Erik Morales. Another day that the Filipino people will be watching on television, patiently waiting for the advertisement to stop so that the blow by blow account of boxing between Manny and his opponent will be clearly reflected on the tv screen.

Of course the people have to understand. It could not be made possible without the paid advertisement. Maayo man mo motan-aw man lang, ang sponsor tawon, minilyon ang bayad ana sa tv network.

My unsolicited advise to Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao about his rematch on January, 2006 with Erik Morales: Pray to God always. Ang uban dili motoo'g Ginoo. Sagdi na sila Manny. Ampo lang gyud ta sa Ginoo kay walay laing hinagiban sa kalamposan kon dili ang pag-ampo ngadto sa Diyos.

But before I forget, I would like to remind Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao that he has a very important rematch on April l5, 2006. It is no other than his blow by blow account of his income tax payment.
