There are many issues to be addressed regarding the needs of the physically handicapped. Unfortunately, the political leaders must be wearing "blinders." They simply don't care or consider the handicapped second-class citizens.
A prime example of the government not addressing the needs of people, especially the physically handicapped, are skywalks. I would like to know how the handicapped people, shown in the recent article, are able to use a skywalk.
Beyond the skywalk problem are the "curbs" at the entrance or exit to a sidewalk. Seems to me the curb should be replaced with a gentle ramp and all motorcycles, etc. kept off the sidewalks.
