"Why are you crying?" a young boy asked his Mom. "Because Im a woman," she told him. "I dont understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said: "And you never will, but thats O.K."
Later, the little boy asked his father: "Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?" . . . . "All women cry for no reason," was all his Dad could say.
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to God, and when God got back to him, he asked: "God, why do women cry so easily?"
God answered:
"When I made woman, I decided she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet made her arms gentle enough to give comfort. . . . .
"I gave her the inner strength to endure childbirth, and the rejection which sometimes will come, even from her own children. . . .
"I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going, and to take care of her family and friends, even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue, without complaining. . . .
"I gave her the sensitivity to love her children, under any and all circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly. . . .
"She has the very special power to make a childs tummy feel better, and to quell a teenagers anxieties and fears. . . . .
"I gave her the strength to care for her husband, despite all his weaknesses, his failures, and his faults. . . .
"I fashioned her from his rib, to protect his heart. . . .
"I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strength and her resolve to stand by him, forever, even if everyone else seems to condemn him. . . .
"For all of this hard work, I gave her tears, to use whenever needed. . . . .
"She weeps when she is hurt, or when she is happy, or when she is sad, or when she is in doubt, or when she is certain, or whenever she is deeply moved by anything by compassion, or by beauty, or by someone elses pain, or by love. . .
"It is her only weakness.
"When you see her cry, tell her how much you love her, and all she does for everyone, and even though she may still cry, you will have made her heart feel good. . . .
"She is special!
"Please tell this to the women you know those with mothers, sisters, and special women in their lives. . . .
"But also tell this to men, so that they will understand what a wonderful thing a woman is!
"For her, each day is a mountain that must be climbed.
And she knows that with courage each step grows easier. . . .
"Love your Mothers always . . . . and keep her smiling."
A kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children, while they drew. She walked around, to see each childs work. When she got to one little girl, who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied: "Im drawing God."
The teacher paused, and said: "But no one knows what God looks like!" Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied: "They will in a minute."
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five- and six-year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor thy father and thy mother", she asked: "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"
Instantly, with no hesitation, one little boy the oldest child in his family answered: "Yes! . . . . Thou shalt not kill!"
An honest seven-year old girl admitted calmly to her parents that Billy Brown had kissed her after class.
"How did that happen?" gasped her mother.
"It wasnt easy," admitted the young lady. "But three girls helped me catch him."
His Mom just hugged him and said: "And you never will, but thats O.K."
