It’s time to get hooked on HOOQ!

Asia’s biggest video-on-demand service, HOOQ, recently partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment for an exclusive premiere of the critically acclaimed Mad Dogs, which was shown the same day it had its telecast in the US.

Mad Dogs premiered worldwide and HOOQ was the first and only digital platform in Southeast Asia to offer the series on the same day as the US. Catch this must-watch series created for the digital platform with all 10 episodes dropping in at the same time!

In addition to this latest action thriller, HOOQ customers can also indulge in a diverse and expansive selection of over 35,000 hours of movies and TV series with hot favorites and award-winning series such as Gotham, The Flash, Mad Men, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Nashville and awesome blockbusters like  Spider-Man, Kill Bill and Harry Potter.

Mad Dogs is a remake of a British TV series from 2011. Starring Steve Zahn and Michael Imperioli, this thriller opens in a gorgeous Belizean villa where the gang is gathered to celebrate the early retirement of their buddy Milo, played by Billy Zane. Things quickly spiral into a labyrinthine of lies, deception and murder that will put the best of friendships to the ultimate test!

You can soon catch Mad Dogs and all your favorites on any Internet-enabled device. Simply download the HOOQ app from the Apple Store or Google Play, sign up or log in, and your device is ready to access the app’s library of Hollywood and local hits. Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina

 

 

Known for helping women go beyond beautiful, Cream Silk recently launched its newest campaign — Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina. This year, the hair-care brand champions modern Filipinas who strive to become from better to best and from good to great.

The event was held at the World Trade Center Tent in Pasay City with workshops and talks with top industry experts in the fields of fashion, entertainment and beauty. The activities featured topics that ranged from beauty and fashion makeovers to unleashing one’s inner potential. Guests were also able to experience hair transformations at the Cream Silk lounge.

For the finale, guests witnessed a live photoshoot, which unveiled the new roster of Cream Silk Modern Filipinas including Heart Evangelista, Nadine Lustre, Coleen Garcia, Julie Anne San Jose, Rachelle Ann Go, and Yassi Pressman.

The highlight of the event was the arrival of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, who epitomizes the most inspiring transformation of the modern Filipina yet. Her story continues to motivate many to be more determined to pursue their dreams and aspire to be better versions of themselves.

Sneak into summer

Well-loved footwear brand Converse recently presented its Spring/Summer 2016 Converse All Star Footwear and Apparel Collection, which explores innovative materials, bold patterns, bright colors and woven textures.

Guests were welcomed by Filcon CEO Margarita Go to the event held at the Pineapple Lab in Makati City. Others seen at the event were Arci Muñoz, Erik Santos, Anjo Damiles, Odette Velarde, Natalia Moon, Xander Angeles, Darius Estrella and Kim Cinco.

Converse introduced several styles this season starting with the classic monochrome black and parchment Chuck Taylor All Star II Mono. This style includes both colorways in high-top and low-top silhouettes. This new style incorporates all the comfort and forward-thinking technology including a Nike Lunarlon sock liner for ultimate arch support as well as a gusseted and padded tongue.

Also launched at the event was the Chuck Taylor All Star Sex Pistols. The collection, which was launched to celebrate the legendary band,  features colors, materials and graphics inspired by the band’s iconic style and album art. Each style includes the iconic Sex Pistols logo on the tongue of the sneaker as well as in the foot bed.

The brand’s All Star Apparel Collection fuses style with comfort providing elevated touches to everyday essentials. For men, the Spring/Summer 2016 season offers a broad tee collection including the Chuck Taylor All Star Short Sleeve Raglan and Open Neck Tee. For women, the brand launched its Chuck Taylor All Star Swing Tee and Chuck Taylor All Star Swing Tank. The lightweight styles are essentials for road trips and music festivals this summer season.
