'Patay TV!' Filipino netizens react to MJ Lastimosa's loss
MANILA, Philippines – Since 2010, the Philippines has been consistently included in the top 5 of the International pageant, Miss Universe. The streak ended this year, when the nation’s representative did not make the cut.
After Mary Jean Lastimosa failed to enter Miss Universe top 5, Filipinos took to Twitter to share their dismay and disappointment with the results.
‘Patay TV,’ instantaneously became a trending topic on the microblogging site after the top 5 announcement.
Some netizens blamed it on the gown that MJ has worn, while most said that the pageant is biased and the judgment is not fair.

Aside from 'Patay TV,' 'Stella Araneta' is also making a buzz on social media after saying on a report that she has not been using creations of Filipino designers on pageants because they are not good enough. MJ's outfit for the national costume competition was created by Colombian fashion designer Alfredo Barraza.
Did you like the new #MissUniverse crown? It's inspired by the spikes that we will put on Stella Araneta and Alfredo Barraza's heads.Patay TV

PH's most wanted: Stella Araneta & Alfredo Barraza. Reward for capture: the lost income of all gay men who went on leave from work today.

Colombia's greatest contribution is Madame Stella Araneta who dresses her contestants with basura gown.

I'm so disappointed with the craps that Stella Araneta made MJ wear, such a shame lang.
— Aaron Castro (@EyrownCastrow) January 26, 2015
I hope next year, Stella Araneta will have the sanity to trust the talent of Filipino designers on creating evening gowns. #MissUniverse
