MANILA, Philippines - The European Union (EU) commends the Philippine education authorities for their efforts in making higher education a key strategy for investing in people, reducing poverty and building national competitiveness in making Filipinos ready for the world.
EU Charge d'Affaires Mattias Lentz said in a press conference yesterday for the European Higher Education Fair that “Education is, of course, also a two-way learning process and only through people-to-people links can we bridge any cultural divides and achieve a better awareness, understanding and appreciation between and among our peoples.”
He also encouraged Filipinos to participate in the European Higher Education Fair to find higher education opportunities in the EU, which is one of the best higher education destinations in the world today.
Twenty-seven European Higher Education Institutions will be participating in this year’s Fair coming from Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Programs offered range from business, engineering, medicine, arts and humanities, fashion and design and technology.
There are also a number of scholarships available to Filipino students that aim to help fund their studies in Europe.
Interested participants may pre-register here or walk in during the Fair which will happen on November 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City..
