INFOGRAPHIC: Where will the scrapped P25.2-B 'pork barrel' go?

MANILA, Philippines — "PDAF no more."

This is what the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said when it released an infographic explaining in simple terms where the billions of Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF) or pork barrel will go.

"The 2014 proposed PDAF of P25.2 billion now realigned to the calamity fund and agency projects and programs," DBM said on its Twitter account on Monday.

In December 2013, the Supreme Court declared the PDAF system unconstitutional, as it violates the constitutional principle of "non-delegability of legislative power" by allowing lawmakers to fund specific projects they themselves determine.

The ruling also came amid public outrage over allegations that some politicians had embezzled the fund through dubious non-government organizations linked to businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles.
