Jakks Pacific, Damayan spread cheer

MANILA, Philippines - At their young age, children in Tacloban City have experienced too much in their lives – having lost almost everything after Super Typhoon Yolanda ravaged their town. But thanks to donors from all over the world that have been looking after them and their families since the disaster struck, they have slowly managed to pick up the pieces of their lives and have learned to be even more grateful for every little blessing that comes their way.

Last Friday, Jakks Pacific, a leading toy and consumer goods company in the US, and The STAR’s philanthropic arm, Operation Damayan, gave the children of Tacloban a belated Christmas as they donated more than 11,000 pieces of top-quality toys to kids in five schools in Tacloban City.
