Celebrities bare their greatest fears

 MANILA, Philippines – There’s something about Halloween—or Todos los Santos, also known as Araw ng mga Patay or Undas in the Philippines—that brings out one’s worst fear. Perhaps it’s because there is a lot to fear in a country such as ours, from the supernatural to the surreal, from the gross to the all-too-real dangers of life.

Just in time for Undas, Philstar.com spoke to a few celebrities and asked them about what they fear the most:

Matteo Guidicelli: “My greatest fear—RATS!”

Rufa Mae Quinto: “A: health is wealth. So lagi kong iniingatan ang health ko, ayaw ko mapunta doon sa may sakit. Yun kasi ang mahirap e, kapag may sakit na. Hindi naman ako scared, pero siyempre ayoko… kumbaga I pray everyday na sana maging healthy and stronger ako para sa fans. Siyempre paano ako makakapagpasaya kung hindi ako masaya, may sakit. So dapat laging masaya tsaka healthy.”

“Pero wala akong fear, siguro daga tsaka ipis.”

Giselle Sanchez: “Snakes! They gross me out! Several years ago I brought my daughter to trick or treat in Beverly Hills. There was a house that offered a trick so we gladly accepted and came in. Then the owner of the house brought out his big python for us to pat. I literally ran out of the house and left my four daughters, but  I had to back because my husband was furious waiting in the car, ‘You left our daughters inside!’”

Derek Ramsay: “Losing my parents.”

Shamcey Supsup: “To lose the people that I really love, parang ganun. Kasi no matter how successful you are, kahit anuman ang marating mo sa buhay, if you don’t have anybody to share it with, parang what’s the point of doing everything, parang gano’n. Kasi before I was the type of person that I really set towards a goal, na parang this is the most important thing, when you get this you’ll be happy. Pero I realized after so many years, na parang it’s not all about that. You get this, you get a trophy or you get an award, without somebody to share the happiness with you, parang meaningless ‘yong all the success that you have.”

Mitoy Yonting: “Parang wala na. Kamatayan, ready na ako dun. Okay ako, okay ako. Yung mas malaos, okay din.”

“Pero pagsakay sa eroplano, yun ang kinakakatakutan ko. Hindi ako natatakot mamatay ha, pero takot akong sumakay sa eroplano.”

Ryza Cenon: “A: Before kasi sinasabi ko takot ako mag-isa, pero na-overcome ko na yun. Ngayon siguro  masaktan, takot ako masaktan. Lahat naman ng tao takot masaktan! Kasi ang hirap mag-heal, especially pag feelings ang hirap niya mag-heal.”
