Philstar brings iTunes Festival to Manila

MANILA, Philippines - As the world's biggest music artists converge this month in London for the iTunes Festival, philstar.com is bringing you to the center of it all by giving you online access to one of the world's most popular music events.

"We are bringing the iTunes Festival experience to the Filipinos worldwide through this partnership," Jules Salonga, Philstar Global Corp. vice president for operations, said.

The festival, which will run throughout the entire month of September, returns this year to Roundhouse in London, England for 30 consecutive days of live events and nonstop music.

Pop provocateur Lady Gaga, fresh from the launch of her debut single 'Applause,' will kick off the festival.

Other artists include Paramore, Elton John, Avicii, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Robin Thicke, John Legend and Justin Timberlake, among others. 

Pop superstar Katy Perry, who just released her new single 'Roar' from the forthcoming album 'Prism,' will close the show.

"As an iTunes fan myself, as a fan of legal downloads, this is a good thing for Philstar to do - partnering with the biggest music storefront in the world," Salonga said.

Philstar is also giving readers a treat with three-track Coldplay EP giveaway from their live performance in the 2011 iTunes Festival.
