Viral video of elevator girl in SM City Olongapo inspires
MANILA, Philippines - A video of an elevator operator at SM City Olongapo went viral on Friday as her cheerfulness and dedication to her job inspired social media users.
"I love her enthusiasm. Thumbs up to her! Her positiveness made her famous," YouTube user Pinky Mae commented.
The recording of an ordinary working day of mall employee Cheridel Alejandrino uploaded by Dave Pronto earned 130,000 views on the video sharing site overnight.
It also earned thousands of shares and views on social network Facebook.
Netizen Lady Shawanda Schmidt confessed how Alejandrino's work "moved" her to carry out her work more enthusiastically.
"Five years ako nagtrabaho as a customer service representative for different (business process outsourcing) sompanies and I was paid really high pero I am nothing compared to this woman," Schmidt posted on YouTube.
She also said the video showing Alejandrino patiently pressing lift's buttons and greeting those who enter the transport equipment with a smile is an "eye opener."
"I always complained about the job and the customers pero WOW this video is an eye opener. This woman is more than just a funny personality she is an Inspiration and a standard to beat. I am humbled. Kudos ate," Schmidt said.
