Bus 'crash' snarls traffic

MANILA, Philippines - Traffic was snarled for hours yesterday and journalists rushed to the scene upon receiving reports that a bus had careened off the Buendia flyover.

The bus reportedly hit three cars passing below the flyover, at the intersection of Buendia and Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City.

Journalists did see the bus, with the cars squashed underneath its front end. But the bus had no engine and the flyover was not damaged.

The “accident” turned out to be fake, part of an entertainment shoot.

Those hoping to see Hollywood stars filming for the action movie “The Bourne Legacy” were disappointed. The bus scene was for GMA-7’s “ My Beloved” television series.

GMA-7 mainstays Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are the lead actors of the TV series.

The massive traffic jam affected early morning motorists reporting for work in Manila and nearby areas.
