P1.75 million unmarked fuel seized in Camarines Sur

MANILA, Philippines — Up to P1.745 million worth of unmarked fuel and a tanker truck have been seized by agents of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in two gasoline stations in Camarines Sur.
The BOC-Enforcement and Security Service (ESS) said among those confiscated were 30,891.5 liters of gasoline and diesel, and a fuel truck worth P1.5 million.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Société Générale de Surveillance-Philippines on Jan. 24 and 25, the BOC-ESS said.
BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio said the crackdown on illegal sale of fuel was intended to safeguard government revenues and ensure fair competition among compliant businesses.
