Korean wanted for carnapping arrested in Angeles City

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A Korean wanted for carnapping was arrested in a bar in Angeles City on Sunday.

Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon police director, said Jaehoon Yoo, 43, was served the warrant of arrest issued by Angeles City Regional Trial Court Judge Rodrigo Ido Del Rosario for violation of Republic Act 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Law.

“This arrest serves as a strong reminder that anyone who violates Philippine laws will be held accountable, regardless of their nationality. Let this also serve as a warning to foreigners who think they can break our laws with impunity. Central Luzon will never be a refuge for criminals,” Fajardo said.
