COTABATO CITY — Two sibling grade school boys died instantly in a motorcycle crash in an upland area of Midsayap, Cotabato, on Sunday afternoon, February 23.

The fatalities, a 12-year-old boy and his 13-year-old brother, were riding a motorcycle driven by a relative, Carl Sotomil, when it crashed at the boundary of Barangays Glad 1 and Sadaan in Midsayap.

In separate reports on Monday, February 24, the Cotabato Provincial Police Office and the Midsayap Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office stated that the accident left Sotomil badly injured.

The victims were on their way home from a family outing when they figured in the accident, according to elders in their clan.

Midsayap Mayor Rolly Sacdalan, chairman of the multi-sector Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, assured that he would help facilitate the burial of the two boys who died in the road mishap.
