Court orders Quiboloy: Explain unauthorized video

MANILA, Philippines — A Pasig City court has ordered the camp of accused sex offender Apollo Quiboloy to explain why his pre-recorded video was aired without court approval.
The video was shown at a campaign rally by members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on Feb. 9 and posted on the Facebook page of SMNI News Channel the following day.
Judge Rainelda Estacio-Montesa of the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 159 gave Quiboloy and his lawyer, Israelito Torreon, five days to explain.
Quiboloy allegedly violated the guidelines and parameters set by the court.
Quiboloy, who is running for senator in the May midterm elections, is facing human trafficking charges. He is being held at the Pasig City Jail.
