Don’t vent on socmed, ex-PNP general told

MANILA, Philippines — Retired police Brig. Gen. Narciso Domingo should avail himself of legal remedies instead of airing on social media his grievances against the Department of Justice (DOJ), according to Prosecutor General Richard Anthony Fadullon.
Domingo was among the police officers charged by the DOJ with planting evidence and delaying the prosecution of a drug case stemming from an anomalous police operation in 2022.
Staged arrests were made by 30 police officers supposedly leading to the seizure of 990 kilos of shabu worth P6.7 billion in Tondo, Manila in 2022.
“If Domingo believes that the DOJ erred in indicting him, then he should know that he has legal remedies available to him. Resorting to social media to gain sympathy is not the right track to follow, especially when the narrative presented is not only flawed, but slanted as well,” Fadullon said.
In a Facebook post, Domingo asked Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla to review and amend the complaint filed against him.
“Karma is real,” Domingo said, claiming that Fadullon knows the truth.
Fadullon recalled flaws in Domingo’s explanation back in 2022 about the bungled anti-narcotics operation.
“Karma is real for those who covered up the truth,” Fadullon said.
