Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange unveiled today

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Taguig advised motorists traversing the East Service Road to take alternative routes as the city will host today the groundbreaking of the Taguig City Integrated Terminal Exchange (TCITX).
Traffic gridlock is expected along the East Service Road in Barangay West Bicutan from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to an advisory issued yesterday.
Motorists can pass through the Skyway or use other alternate routes.
In 2015, the government awarded the project to Ayala Land Inc. as part of a public-private partnership program.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held in 2018, but pre-construction activities were stalled due to the pandemic.
Once completed, the TCITX is expected to cater to over 160,000 motorists daily plying Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The six-story building, estimated to cost over P5 billion, will feature a walkway connecting to the Philippine National Railway FTI Station and the Metro Manila Subway System.
